PROFILE LEE
SHOONG LIM
Lee Shoong Lim, Managing Director of AMG Capital Private Limited, has more than
a decade of investment banking, financial management and corporate advisory experience
in the Asia Pacific.
After graduating in 1993 with an Accountancy degree in the Nanyang Technological
University in Singapore, Shoong Lim joined the international accounting firm of
KPMG Peat Marwick as an auditor specializing in the financial, regulatory compliance
as well as statutory audit of financial institutions in Singapore.
From 1995 onwards, Shoong Lim spent seven years working as an investment banker
with the HSBC Group as well as the ABN AMRO Bank Group respectively. Primarily,
Shoong Lim’s investment banking experience covers debt origination, structured
finance, financial engineering, debt placement related to corporate as well as
mergers and acquisition activities, and corporate advisory work. During this period
of time, Shoong Lim also accumulated extensive contacts with international financial
institutions, regulatory bodies, government-linked corporations, investment fund
managers, publicly listed and private companies in Asia, especially in Hong Kong
and Singapore.
Following that, Shoong Lim took on the post of Chief Financial Officer of a private
company involved with humanitarian projects in India for about 18 months.
In 2003, Shoong Lim founded AMG Capital Private Limited and have been its Managing
Director
since then.
